Tutor Angus
Angus is a skilled and versatile guitarist with over 7 years of experience, currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium. In that time, he has performed at venues across Australia with a variety of bands, worked as a session musician, and earned a reputation as a thoughtful and engaging guitar teacher. 
Tutor Anna
Anna is a talented multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and songwriter with a deep-rooted passion for creativity and education. She began her musical journey at the age of 5, learning piano from her mum, before teaching herself guitar, drums, and bass throughout high school. She completed a Bachelor of Composition and Music Production at the Australian Institute of Music in 2021.
Tutor Ben

Ben has played and performed the drums for over 8 years in numerous ensembles and bands. He also plays electric bass, electric and acoustic guitar, piano/keys, and ukulele. He enjoys learning anything music related and is strong in music theory. In his spare time, he records and produces his own music. He plays with Jazz Workshop Australia and has been mentored by highly regarded jazz musicians such as John Morrison and Saul Richardson. 

Tutor Lachlan
Lachlan completed a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. His proficiency across a vast array of different guitar styles, He plays the bass, piano, drums, ukulele and sings. He performs regularly as a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter all around NSW with various groups and ensembles in a range of settings including bars, clubs, weddings and corporate functions. Lachlan composes and performs his own music both as a soloist and with his band, North of Quasi.
Tutor Ram

Ram is a jazz pianist and passionate music educator who aims to make learning music an enjoyable and creative experience. Having begun with classical piano, he understands how structured lessons can sometimes feel stressful, and now draws from that experience to offer a more flexible, student-centered approach to music education.

Tutor Bella

Bella is a singer-songwriter and vocal coach. A highlight being her performance at Sydney Town Hall of ‘I Will Survive’ by Gloria Gaynor. In 2019, she went on to study a Bachelor of Music specialising in song-writing and performance at ‘JMC Academy’. Here she discovered the power of collaboration through performing in bands and writing her own original material. In 2021 she released her first song and music video and is currently working on an EP.

Do you offer Packages?

For hands-on playing, we offer heavily discounted 3-lesson Introductory Packages so you can properly evaluate the experience without a long-term commitment.

Do I need my own instrument?

We will discuss our instrument availability with you in your discovery session. For guitar and bass, we offer affordable hire programs. For voice lessons, just bring yourself!

What if we aren't clicking with our tutor?

If you’re not 100% satisfied after the first lesson, you are welcome to switch to a different tutor for your remaining lessons.

How soon can I play my favourite song?

It depends on the song and your starting level, but we aim to get you playing something you love as quickly as possible. Many students can learn a simple, basic-chord song in as little as 3 lessons.

What is BASE Music's secret to success?

Are there performances?

Students get regular performance opportunities, with a concert at the end of every term and a big end-of-year showcase.
